Michael loved life and lived it to the fullest. He did more in his short 27 years than most do in a full lifetime. He will be missed terribly by all those whose lives he touched.

Hello Mr and Mrs Burke.

My name is Katie Miller. My husband Mike and I were good friends with Chris Wilder in college and therefore friends with your son Mike. We never really called him Mike though b/c there were two Mikes in the appt. We called him Burke most of the time!

The last time we saw Burke was at Chris Wilder's wedding last summer. I had just had my second son two weeks before. We sat at the same table as Burke and Ket. Your son was so sweet and held onto our newborn so my husband and I could eat our dinner in peace. He enjoyed snuggling with the baby and playing with our other son who was 1 at the time. He said that he had plenty of practice b/c of his neices and newphews.

We didn't talk to Burke much after we left college. He came to our wedding in 1999 and then we saw him at Wilder's wedding. But we still think of him as the sweet, kind, smiling and energetic guy from Donnelson with sparkling blue eyes (my husband is from Keokuk, so we used to tease him about the rivalry!).

You have a beautiful family. We saw how Burke touched many people's lives at his funeral. It was a beautiful service.

I just wanted to share a picture of Burke and our baby Colin with you. I hope you and your family are doing well. I have been praying for you.

Sincerely,
Katie
